How to surreder?

In Oblivion you could hold block and hit A and it surrendered. Can you do that in Skyrim?

Err... the only way I know you can surrender is by sheathing.

Sheathing your weapon while in combat indicates you are yielding. Not everyone will accept a yield.

It hasn't worked for me yet. I accidently hit a Stormcloak with a spell (he ran in front of my Flames, I swear!) and after my companion killed him I had a bounty of 40g. In the next town the guards all started attacking me and wouldn't accept a surrender. :sadvaultboy:
