How do you pay a bounty? I started walking toward a guard and he just went crazy on me and I couldn't do anything..My bounty was only 45 gold...

In Nord society chickens are considered an important member of the community!

(But in fairness - take a kitchen knife and stab some random guy's dog to death. Don't be suprised if he starts hitting you - the idea of animals as someone friend or possessions really shouldn't suprise you...)

The glitch was chickens reporting crimes. Destroying people's property and livelihood being illegal was never a glitch.

Killing someone's dog is different from killing their chicken, who they will be slaughtering themselves shortly.

@OP - Did you have your weapon drawn? If you killed this guy's chicken (which would look kind of insane) and then kept your weapon out as you walked around (and possible towards the guard), I can very well understand him attacking you. Or he was having a very bad day.

As for the guy who owned the chicken...he was probably just pissed.

Well see I killed a chicken and got 5 bounty and so I was like what the hey let's kill that one too and got 40 bounty and then I started just walking toward a guard because I was going to go pay the bounty but then the farmer screamed and started running and the guard started attacking me :<

Yeah, a dog is a simple pet. A chicken is a part of people's livelihoods. Without which they could very well go destitute and/or starve.

They're not a luxury animal.

Hile sent some thugs to try and kill me for stealing from her,problem for them was I was just about to meet the grey beards for the first time.Turns out they don't like people trying to kill the dragon born.They got killed very quickly,I went back to Riverwood and killed Hile with an arrow as she slept...
