Dragons went extinct for a reason. Hell, they were wiped out in Morrowind by Cliffracers.

My guess is dragons level more closely to your character because you need to beat them in the main quest, whereas other creatures can be a higher level than you. I'm interested in finding out what the max level of a dragon is in comparison to everything else

what i did was get double magic and use it while running backwards (only argonian) and then let it regenerate then doing it again. you cant mele it because it kills you in 1/2 strikes BUT you can also run straigh past it as yu are quicker took me around 6 goes to realize it lol

That troll is nasty took me quite a while to kill him. I used archery on him sneaking up, sniping him and booking it, and repeating.

I kited him around for a good several minutes, shouting, sprinting, dualcast fireblasting, shouting, sprinting, waiting for my mana to regen.

I fought my first solo dragon at lvl 10, barely won but won anyway.
I fought my first Frost troll at level 9, I got absolutely obliterated.

Just run past it. I tried fighting it for a few minutes but quickly realized that my puny level 6 character would probably need to spend a VERY long time firing spells at that troll to take him down, assuming it would even be possible with the his health regeneration and my lack of magicka potions.

Actually, my character is a Nord.

I'll go ahead and justify it by saying that, as a dragonborne(sp?), we're more adept at dragon-slaying than troll-slaying.
