Better than Oblivion's? Similar to Fallout 3? or better than both?

Better than both from I've seen. More visceral.

I've heard that it's better, but is still airy.

I'm not happy about it cos I always seem to miss my target cos I'm moving. I'd rather a lock on system like dark souls. that's just me and I think that's where ES seem to lack in their fighting aspect. but I'm still loving the game and I'm loving the finishing moves :)

I like it . I don't feel any connection to the ppl Im fighting. and I may have killed a companion cos I didn't realise it was him in the dark in stead of the enemy lol

The Combat is freaking awesome! A huge leap up from Oblivion, it's more visceral and really feels more brutal.

I miss Oblivion's heavy clunky fighting, but Skyrim has sacrificed the weightyness in favour of more fluid and interchangeable combat. It still feels like the same TES combat since Arena in some ways though.

Better than both IMO, but I still prefer the Dark Messiah Might and Magic combat tbh

It's fun, am currently dual wielding a sword and ax, feels like there are more attack options than in Oblivion or Fallout. Can't block though, so the ability to dodge would be a huge help (feels a little lame to just backpedal). Also keep getting my #$% handed to me by mages, guess my Khajit's fur doesn't make him very fire resistant.

Aside from Cam enhancements like bobbing during combat, better animations and enemies staggering or falling. its pretty much exactly like Oblivion
