Wow.... just wow.

Alright so I started playing the game for the first time today at about 1:00PM.

I have to say this game is freaking incredible! I was a tad worried when I was reading the negative feedback but those people have little to no clue what they are talking about. This is so far the best Elder Scrolls game I have ever played. I loved Morrowind and didn't like Oblivion to much but Skyrim... it has blown me away. This game may just beat Morrowind.

The introduction to the game (no spoilers) is absolutely incredible! I loved the detail and really enjoyed it. There was clearly a LOT of thought put into the introduction. When I was finished with that and arrived in Riverwood I will be honest I spent about 30 minutes there! The town itself isn't extremely unique (since we've already seen it quite a few times) but looking at the river flowing by is simply amazing! Looking at the small little bugs crawling around on trees is incredible. There was a lot of detail put into making this game that I was not aware of when buying it. Bethesda clearly under sold this game, I don't mean price wise... but just the awesomeness of this game is FAR better then Bethesda shown it as and has surpassed my expectations by miles.

I was playing on the Xbox 360 version and have found the UI and controls to be exceptionally well thought out. It is very comfortable to use and all together a great simple set up.

I finally fought my first dragon!! It was a huge rush!! (I'll admit I died thrice) I was only level 4 but oh man that was such an incredible fight! It really pulls you into the combat aspect of the game. I have to say, the combat in this game is a major improvement over any ES game released to date (imho). The duel wielding is an awesome addition to the game and was implemented quite well. I only have one problem with it. You only sheath or un-sheath one weapon, the other magically appears in your hand. Though this isn't an important bug to me, some may find that slightly immersion breaking. I only got one finisher move out of the 5 hours I spent playing which was fairly disappointing, I really want them to show up a tad bit more often. Oh well!

The attention to detail in this game is astonishing, I know I have said it already but I was blown away. The game looks 10x better then I thought it would. The dynamic shadowing is incredibly immersing and the other little 'unknown till you play' perks such as the doors opening slightly when entering an interior cell add to the world a lot more then you would expect.

The voice acting in this game is a MAJOR improvement to Oblivion's. I am so happy to hear a different voice for every single NPC I have run into so far (and that is quite a few of them). I'm kind of sad they took out the 'walk around while talking to an NPC' feature but hey it's still a major improvement over Oblivion's terrible dialogue system.

The music. Oh my god the music. It is so freaking incredible!! It is just AWESOME!!! There was a lot of work making the music more Morroiwndish and they did it perfectly! I can't tell you enough how incredible it is, I know I sound a bit bland but... I can't really express what I think about it. The music is a 'must listen to' in order to get the proper impression.

Well that is my impression. I hope you like it and please comment! :D

Thank you Bethesda for making an incredible game.

Besides from the text problems I am having (I know they're not a glitch - it's SDTV) I haven't had any major bugs.

You only got one finisher move? I have had about 12/13. I don't even know how I done them. My first one was on that bear when you're escaping from the first dragon. It was following me as I was sneaking away. Whatever I hit that poor bear got a mouthful of axe. Pretty gruesome. Ha!

I then shot a guy in the eye with an arrow for being rude. The arrow went in his eye and he didn't run away (but he felt it) and as I was watching I could see no eye in the socket. When the arrow disappeared, his eye was there but both of them had turned pinky red.

I read it. Personally, it's hard to get over the simplification I've been noticing but hopefully I will soon enough. Overall its great and I've barely done anything! :) I was watching my friend play it on the pc on medium graphics and it was epic... so good.

But I still prefer OB's music :P
