Anyone got tips for Dragons?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:56 pm

Sup guys?
So I got to fight my first wild dragon, I was horse riding and all of a sudden it swooped down without my realizing. It's fire breath takes my hp down pretty fast. Anyone got any tips for fighting them?
Atm I stick to using lightning and a sword.

Best way i found was to have a powerful axe/sword in one hand, and a healing spell the another. regualrly top up your magicka and try to pioson your sword. It all helps. ooh, and a regualr FUS ROH really helps ^_^

Use objects to line of sight them and get buffs rolling. potions/poisons and racials and then hammer them. No real struggle so far....2h dmg + poisons enchants and buff potions along with my orc racial is wrecking stuff O.o

I just find a rock that's at least about head height and stand behind it. The dragon should target another NPC with the fire, then you just start bashing it's side, then run behind the rock again.

my main tactic at the moment is to hit them with lightning bolts till they land, then smash them in the face with my steel greatsword >=D

Get behind cover when they hit you with their breath, and swing at them when possible. I find archery very good, that way I can get a few hits while they just hover in the air. Haven't had any real problems, probably got chomped once because I was dumb enough not to run/hide when he landed on top of me.

I'm not having much problems with the dragons, besides getting them to land. I've seen about 3 dragons just leisurely soaring above me while I shoot arrows and shout at them, and they never freaking notice me.

They aren't as tough as I thought they'd be.

Anyways, I always go in with my 2 Fine Skyforged Steel swords and slice the [censored] out of them when they do land. Then equip a healing spell as they are flying around.

As a boomcrafter, dodge + weave is the best advice I can give.

You do not want to be in the frontal arc. Be aware of where the dragon is flying around so you don't get dropped on, or he doesn't perch and torch you.
