why play Khajit?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 5:47 am

I wanted to make a Khajit thief ( named Mr Purrrfect!) but the racials are completely worthless: Claw? doesnt scale and unarmed doesnt get any sneak bonus or hurt ghosts. Night vision? the way the lighting works in this game; everyone has night vision

I may go with breton; redguard or argonian or maybe even a orc.

I dont min max really but it seems the unique points of being khajit in terms of gameplay do not come into play.

I think Khajit should have faster foot speed and take no damage from falling.

Thoughts?

Well, personly, I dont understand why people care so much about racial abilities. Take the race you think is cool. A nord/orc/altmer can be exellent assassins aswell as bosmer//breton can be good warriors. Its just gonna take alittle longer for them to be "maxed out".
Choose the one you think is cool! ;)

You also get their appearance, background/culture/backstory...

Not everyone picks a race on the basis of power gaming ;) - but I agree, increased mobility would be good given they're portrayed in the lore as being far more acrobatic and dexterous... maybe this'll be fixed in future racial bonus mods

People play them because they are interesting, as a race. Obviously, the racial abilities do factor into it as well. I play a Khajiit because I like cats, really. Plus, tails!

I heard that unarmed scales with one handed. You can put on gloves and enchant them with destruction spells. You can take the heavy armor perk that adds teh armor rating of the gauntlet to the unarmed damage.

I don't even care about racials. I care about looks, history and personality.

No No Im dont care about power. I but I would like the to use my unique racials. Both are worthless

Unarmed fighting is dead in Skyrim and doesnt work with thief skills

Nightseye is worthless as everything is completely illuminated as if everyone has nightseye.

Do you seriously play a race because of its racials?? I have been playing for 5hours with a khajiit mage...they dont have any bonus to magic, but they look cool, thats why i play one.

Is it just me or are ex-wow players coming to skyrim?

How does it work? Is it a toggle or always on? Is 'the dreadful blue' back, or does it work different? Insights appreciated ;)

Well on PC you can turn it on and off from dragon shout button and it wears off after 1minute but you can do it again after it wears off.

Thx! So they basically implemented like a spell, with a certain duration rather than leave it on all the time.

Can you hint on the visual quality? While playing Oblivion I really got fed up with the blue lighting effect ... hopefully they used another approach with Skyrim ...
