Playing an orc and I've hotkeyed beserker's rage to key "8," but I can't seem to get the darn thing to work. I've pressed 8 like it's going out of style while completely unarmed and when equipped with s/b. No effect. Not sure what I need to do here.

Anyone have better luck?

I'm in the exact same boat. I'm about level 15 and have never used my racial because I can't get it to work.

I read somewhere it's the Z key...

Racial abilities are classed as the same button as Shoute in the PS3 version, so I assume it's the same for XBox. Perhaps it works in a similar way on PC

How do I use it? I select it and press R2?

Put it in your favourites, then bring up the favourites menu, hover the mouse over the spell or item, then press a number key to set the hotkey. (PC only, obviously).

What I did was go into:

Magic <------

Find the ability and click on it to equip it for use. It seems to equip in the same slot as 'voice attack' but I don't have one of those yet. It's sort of like equipping the arrows you want to use on the item side (ready for use).

Now when you push Z it will use that ability! (I was playing the super awesome action-rpg Bastion before this came out, so everything feels comfy to me).


Also~ [Esc] -> Controls menu and set it to mouse button 4 or something might be better for you than ' Z '. That way when you want it to happen, you'll be quick to push it!


Mouse 4 (right thumb) and ' V ' (left thumb) are my go-to buttons for tertiary and quaternary attacks hehe.
