Speak to the guy you bought the house from.

He sells decorations.

I tried that, I coulda swore he didn't sell me anything else but maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention. I'll try him again in a bit when i'm not over encumbered :/

you might have to wait a day, he didnt immediately offer decor for my house but he eventually did, everything can be bought for under 2000 gold, iirc

There is a stupid . . . CONDITION . . . that has to be met for him to sell you furniture for your house. Namely, he MUST be in the throne room with the Jarl or the option won't show up in his dialogue. I don't know if it is a bug or not, but it's pretty stupid and confused me to.

Also, when you first buy the house it does have 2 beds. One is for your servant, hence, why it says 'owned'. The other is over in the corner and you can sleep on it.

When I bought my items from him he was upstairs away from the Jarl.

Huh. Well I don't really have any money anyways. I just stole everything from the castle so I could sell it but i'm so heavy, its taking forever to walk to a merchant. Also, anybody know where my bodyguard could have gone? Lydia I think her name was. She stopped fallowing me after a quest I did and she isn't back at the castle where I first met her.

But that still counts as the throne room to the game. If he is in the Jarl's quarters, or out of the great porch, or basically through a loading screen from the throne . . . no buying furniture for you. The game may only consider him "on the job" if he is in the throne room area.

EDIT: If you already bought the house, Lyda will return to your home (not the castle) to wait for you if you get separated.

Your housecarl should either be in the castle hall or in your house, if you told her to get lost.
