About Respawning

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 8:49 pm

Hello, i am new to these forums... In the beginning, i would like to thank Bethesda for this masterpiece of game. However i have one question, eventhough i know its being answered many times. Can anyone with more in-game experience give me some more detailed information about enemy respawning in outdoor areas/camps/dungeons etc.
Ive been searching for answer but i found various types of them. If someone can provide me more detailed info i would be gratefull. thanks in advance :D

I think it's three in-game days.

I am not sure about that... i tried to sleep 3 days, but still nothing. Maybe it is some new system where i have to sleep, rest or w/e 3days on other edge of the world?

Wondering this myself too.

It's been 10+ days for my main character and all the corpses of wolves on the road from Riverwood to Whiterun are still there, and no new enemies seem to spawn.
Kinda sad, I loved traveling the roads and beating down bandits and other aggresive opponents in Oblivion.

I cant remember but i even read somewhere that it maybe even takes a in-game month for everything, but i dont know if i believe it. It seems that only way is to play the game :P

Mine haven't respawned yet. Not sure they will.

So far, the only thing that is renewing is the merchants maximum cash (refills daily as it should).

I think some flowers might have respawned.

In this dungeon, nothing has respawned yet.

I am worried about this, it has to be said. Even if the world is massive and impressive as it is, I feel that a major strength Oblivion had may be lost in favour of 'realism'. With all dungeons cleared, and no respawning in the world, it will be eventually be empty and boring like it was in Fallout 3 :sadvaultboy:
