Anybody Playing Skyrim on PC with Xbox Controller ?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 6:48 pm

Hi,

i was thinking on wich Platform ill get Skyrim to get the maximum fun out of it. I Want to play it on my TV and 5.1 Sound system, so i was about to get it on Xbox360. But, like everyone knows, the PC Version should have better Graphics, textures and so on. Im quite sure there will be fanmade texturepacks later on wich will improve this even further.

So im thinking about getting it on the PC, connect my TV and Sound system, AND A XBOX360 Controller to enjoy it on my couch.

Did anyone play it already with xbox controlloer and can tell me how well it is supported ?

It's perfectly supported, as soon as you plug it in all the icons change and buttons map automatically to the 360 controller.

Hiyas,

I've been playing since launch (10 hours in now :o) with exactly that setup and it's working just great :)

I can't lavish enough praise on the controller with PC. Especially for walking. If you have a keyboard you have only 3 options. Sprint super fast, run, or walk super slow. With a joystick you can walk super slow or walk briskly or jog or sprint with many speeds in between, all naturally responding to how subtle your thumb is on the anolog sticks. I won't be going back to the mouse and KB for this game.

I agree next time I play I am going to give the controller ago. Sometimes the keyboard feels like you are giving you character a command rather than you actually controlling the movements.
