Spelling & grammatical errors in books

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 7:53 am

I read all the books in game, and at the risk of sounding pedantic I've noticed quite a few spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. In Of Crossed Daggers alone you'll find responisble, overhwhelm, unecessarily, recommensed, formiddable, and it's instead of its. Do the devs welcome feedback on stuff like this and will they change it in future patches?

I find typos and spelling errors in real live books made in the 21st century here on Earth. Bad grammar too :read:

May be it was written in the local dialect or it is a correct representation of what the language was like at the time of writing. Live the game.

To answer you question, yes, they have fixed typos in patches in previous games.

However, some of them they chalk up to the original writer making the mistake. (Like the in game writer).

This stuff will be fixed in mods. I could care less because not all people IRL write or speak grammatically correct.. People make mistakes.

I can be real nitpicky about that too :). I'm Dutch and English isn;t my native language, but I can get really frustrated when I see spelling or grammar errors in my school tests, for example. Aaargh! Last week I had a test in which they were able to write the word 'buddhism' in three different ways. Great, huh.

For in games, ah well. It shouldn't be there, but I guess spelling or grammar in ingame books, isn't very high on the priority list for such a big title.
