Skyrim is a Masterpiece

Holy Cow, Bethesda.
You guys really outdid yourselves this time.
This game is beautiful, the soundtrack is fantastic, the world is massive, the characters are interesting, and the fight system is addicting.
You have fixed all glitches and leveling quirks known to me.
The dungeons are detailed and deep.
The dragons are just amazing.
The towns are great.
The quests are, as always, fantastic.
You have also fixed destruction and archery.

This is the game of the year. There is no doubt about that.

Agreed. I was hyped for it, but I think it exceeded my expectations.

I tried to deny this game existed becuase it was such a painful wait from "Morrowind" to "Oblivion".

The greatest of games has returned and just seems to be building on all it's previous success.

I feel the same way.

Yesterday when I fired up the game I was like
"Damn, this is fun!"

4~6 hours later I look at the clock
"Holy crap, it's been that long already?"

Funniest thing is that after so much time playing I feel like I barely scratched the surface and/or accomplished anything.

I was just playing on a farm, pulling up all the cabbages then dropping them and blasting them away with my Fus shout. A guard comes over and says "I have to ask you to stop that shouting, it's making people nervous" ha, awesome

That is awesome.

I played for 6 hrs last night, no problems at all.

There are a few things that I would like to be different, but that is what mods are for.

So far the game has lived up to the hype and I can't wait to get out of work and go back to Skyrim.

Created an account just to say something similar.

Congratulations guys. I'm 30, been playing video games for about 23 years, and this one takes the cake. It's definitely a top 5 game of all time, if not a strong fight for number 1 game of all time. I'd say it rivals Half-Life 2 as top game on Steam, in it's revolutionary style yet beats it in it's attention to detail.

Well done.

I have to agree. This is one of the best games I've ever played. It's added a whole new layer of depth to the Elder Scrolls universe. My biggest delight so far has been the vastly superior writing and voice acting. Oblivion was a little campy, but Skyrim is much closer to epic in tone. (Not that I disliked the acting in Oblivion, but Skyrim feels much more like a saga than a video game.) Many kudos on a job well done.

Definitely exceeded my expectations (PC gamer). I just finished an amazing mountain-top battle with a Dragon in the midst of massive blizzard with very little visibility.

Ever have a dragon scare the crap out of you by landing behind you, causing the ground to shake? I had been fighting him for a couple of minutes (stealth based archer) when he suddenly flew off. The battle music died down and was replaced by the howling wind and nothing else. I wait for a couple of minutes before I moved forward, unable to see much of anything other than white out.

Suddenly I hear a massive crashing sound behind me and I whirl around to see a f'ing giant head staring at me with it's maw open. Epic.

There was too much snow flying about to see him flying at any distance and the howling wind drowned out the flapping of his wings. So basically a giant dragon out stealthed my stealthy Bosmer and got the drop on him.

Bethesda has redefined 'epic' for me in a video game.
