Mage'ish character easily encumbered..

So, I'm playing the game and absolutely loving it, however, I'm playing a rather weak mage/rogue-ish character with low str.

Having killed a few dragons, I'm now hauling dragon bones and scales around whereever I go (since I don't have a house with storage yet), and I am wondering if it is safe to just dump some of the heavy stuff in a corner somewhere and then retrieve it later? It's rather annoying that I'm being forced to leave most of the loot from dungeons simply because I can't carry it out :(

I assume the dragonscales will be usefull later on for making armor and so I won't sell it to the vendors, but they are so heavy :(

What do you guys do to overcome the problem?

Technically you can use a dragon as temporary storage as the skeleton will never disintergrate as far as I can tell. Use that.

Buy a house and store them there. Alternatively find a treasure chest thats out in the middle of nowhere and store them in it, like that one in the stump by Riverwood
