1 perk point to use -- everythings greyed out

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 5:29 am

Just hit level 7, open up the level up screen and I can't put a skill into ANYTHING. It asked me to raise mana, health, or stamina, i chose, and then.. now I can't put a point into anything.

what's goin on?

The perks have skill level requirements. Maybe your skill levels aren't high enough. Increase your skill levels until you can use the perk point.

You have to have so much points in a skill to take a perk in it. No biggie, perks can be saved until you can or want to use them.

You have to have reached a certain skill level to activate each perk as well as have the perk point to spend. you can save them up until your skills are higher though.

Ok you know that some of the perks have more than one rank right. At level 7 you couldn't have maxed them all out.

i'm having the same type of problem. I have 5 points so far and haven't been able to assign any of them. I want to put them into sneak.. and my sneak is at 23. Does my sneak have to be higher?

Each perk has its own set of prerequisites. I don't know sneak; I'm playing a warrior so at the moment all I know are the 1-handed, block, and heavy armor trees. For multi-level perks, each level has a separate requirement. The first rank of Armsman (the 1-hand base perk) doesn't require any level of skill, but the second does, and third is even higher. Bone Breaker (the 3-rank perk in 1-hand that lets maces ignore part of the target armor) requires 25 for the first rank and 50 for the second. Smithing requires 30 for Dwarven Smithing, 50 for Orc Smithing, and so on.

When you go into the perk menu, if you are too low to use a perk it will have the required level and your level at the bottom of the perk. That should tell you if you are high enough of not.
