I thought we could turn off quest markers and kill animation

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 11:39 am

Well.. just to start I'll have to say that this game is really awesome, shame though I installed it on my 360 and up-close the game is pretty ugly.
But besides that... I thought to remember that it was confirmed that you could turn off not only quest markers floating above people (which I did right away) but also in the compass, which I really wanted to try, but allas I don't see the option, or I must have misunderstood the information.
And wasn't it also confirmed that you could turn off the killing animations?
During the development time I thought they were pretty cool, but now I've payed the game they are really bad in my personal opinion.
I could have misunderstood the information but I'm still a bit sad that both options aren't availble :(

Never was confirmed that you could turn off the killing animations. And idk about the compass. Maybe it has to do with HUD opacity?

You can turn off quest markers by going into your journal and clicking each quest (it should have an arrow beside it, which should disappear if you don't want the quest marker to show).

Or go on menu turn hud opacity down. Theres a toggle button for the quest markers aswell to turn them off.
As for kill animations, nothing you can do about them...

that's a bit pointless since they turn up once you get a new quest

@Frost Dragon: On the xbox I only see an option to turn the markers off that show up in the real world not compass/map...

I haven't tried it because I don't mind them (for now), but you could try this "No Kill Moves" mod:

It's manual, stop being a lazy [censored]. You don't want a quest marker, click the quest and it will remove it in your journal, otherwise get over it.

Yup. Open journal, find quest, hit A button to toggle on/off.

P.S.

I love this addition BTW! No more mods to do it for them.

Keep in mind that kill animations will only trigger when you've killed all currently aggro enemies. It takes a few seconds, sure, but its a subtle way of telling you you managed to kill everything. I don't mind them for tat very reason.
