Everyone tells me I look sick

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 9:38 am

So just played the game for 12 straight hours without a complaint really except for one part in "Diplomatic Immunity". My only complaint/question is: Why does everyone tell me how sick or bad I look? I have been bitten by spiders but I have gotten it cured via a person on the street and the cure disease potion. Any tips?

This is probably a stupid question

I think some shopkeepers will just say stuff to get you to buy their crap...

Hi,

Maybe, like me, you've been sat in front of your PC/Console for several hours straight, no food, no drink, no sleep - I know I look a bit unwell lol.

But yeah, I get the same. As far as I can see I'm not ill, no infections, health is full etc. Not seen any vamps or anything but, like you, have had some spider encounters.

Interestingly I also got called a "sneak thief" once by a guard, despite being an upstanding citizen...though I do sneak around dungeons certainly.

I've tried sleeping. It says that i am well rested after, but people will still say i look sick. It doesnt really effect my gameplay at all so it's not a big deal i was just wondering how to fix it

I too have rested well & still get the comment once in a while.

If it was a simple "you look tired" that'd be fine as I don't sleep anywhere near enough lol. It's the looking ill that has me concerned, though nothing is affected other than the odd comment, same as for you. Oh well...

Out of interest, how can you tell if you are sick?

I can't see like a character status menu or anything - perhaps I'm not looking hard enough?

See if you have negative status effects in Magic->Active Effects.

I hate this UI :stare:

But positively thinking it's the only thing i hate :hehe:

I too have had this issue. I'm not 100% sure that I've gotten the message while simultaneously disease-free, well-rested, and well-fed, but I'm certain I've gotten in on every combination of 2 of those.

Go to the spells menu, select active effects, look through your active effects list for one that corresponds to a disease.

maybe it's because you played for 12 hours straight? That would be kind of funny. Take a break from the game come back see if the shopkeepers tell you something else.

And if you have a disease (they are written in red ) you can get a blessing from Talos in Whiterun. Go to the statue and click on the item in front. You will get a blessing and all your diseases will be cured for free.

Shopkeepers that are healers say it just to sell their trade as well.

You can buy a cure disease potion, or you can dungeon dive for it. That will fix it.

People will tell you you look sick when you have contracted a disease, you can check for active effects in the magic interface. Use cure disease potion or activate a shrine to get rid of the disease.

I tend to heal myself at shrines like the one of talos when I get a disease.
