I have killed the final guard Drougr but I can not search his body to get the dragonstone , his weapon i can pick up but there is just a symbol above his head but no dragonstone have watched walkthrough after completing and that shows looting of the body but not avaialble on my game any ideas ?????

I thought it was in a nearby chest.

no its not in any chest

The draugr should have the stone yes,

reload and try again,
Skyrim still has a whole bunch of bugs.

I had the same problem. I just left the dungeon and went back in the other way. Takes some time to get back to the draugr but I could take the dragonstone without any problem.

Here is some sound advice for all players of TES, Bugs and Glitches or NOT:

PLEASE MAKE MULTIPLE SAVES AND SAVE FREQUENTLY, ALSO NEVER RELY ON AUTO SAVE ONLY. Anything can happen from a power surge to a storm in your area, corrupt a save file and POOF. Hours or even days worth of play are gone for good. You can back up your saves also.

just switched xbox off and on and could pick up stone stright away. thanks for help dave
