Where can I find a house?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:34 pm

I really need a house to put all these dragon bones and scales because they are very heavy. Where can I buy one? I should be far enough in the game to buy one because im at the part where I have visited Alduin's wall already. Can anybody help? I want a nice one!

go to whiterun and kill the dragon. eventually u'll get the option to buy the house there for 5k. u shoukd have done whiterun at around lvl 5 if u followed the story "properly"

note:by proper i mean in the general direction that the game lays out for u.

The annoying guy who stands next to the Jarl of Whiterun. He sells it to you for $5000. I feel ya man, that dragon crap is heavy as hell on your inventory, especially if you ran into the dragon just coming back from a bandit camp run.

well theoretically, ur supposed to run into the dragon right after doing the dungeon and getting the claw back. the natural progression has u fill ur inventory , get the shout from the dungeon, then go back to whiterun and then go kill dragon numero uno from there.

if ur going to divert from the path laid out by the game, problems like this occur.

So... is selling the house really tied to the story progress?
So much for freedom...

Well, they offer to sell you a house in town because they really really like you (just like in Oblivion.)

Why do they really really like you? Could be because you did an awesome deed for them (which, yeah - is part of the story progress. Who knows, do enough other good deeds around town, and it might also open up. Don't know, cause I was following the story.)

Houses are beast, i freaking love hanging my weapons up after a long day work, stacking the books, but my favourite thing to do i display my most prized weapons on the trophy rack, usually weapons from worthy enemies.

Can i ask though please could someone answer, i heard dropped items will disappear, is this true, cas i want to pile my dragon scales, bones etc in the house but would they disappear?

Edit: you buy decorations from the guy you buy the house from
