A certain Guardian Stone is OP

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 1:36 pm

I received 'Raise the Dead to fight for you' power from a Guardian Stone... Well, suffice it to say I have found unique ways to use it to my utmost advantage. For example, I am able to resurrect a herd of Mammoths and completely destroy a town if I want. Not saying that I don't love doing it because I do, but I have been able to take full advantage of this pretty OP power.

Was it meant to be that way?

Below are the instructions to reach the stone... Read at your own risk:

Spoiler
The stone is known as "Ritual Stone" and is east of Whiterun and is slightly south of the river that runs east. As you approach the stone, you will be ambushed by a necromancer who will summon the undead to attack you... Once you get past that, you can activate the stone and attain the Ritual Stone Power of resurrecting the dead once a day to fight for you. It is a medium sized AOE cast around the caster.

In fact, you most certainly could not.

Given the very point of being Dragonborn is that you kept dragons dead.

You were right. You can't ressurect a Dragon. Mai bad. I just tested it. I did do Mammoths and Giants though... That pretty much is all I need to rule the world. Does anyone know the duration of the power's hold on a resurrection?

A steed is not going to be better than a woolly mammoth. -_- My Mammoth shakes the earth as he walks yo. Literally, your POV shakes.

And I apologize if I am not supposed to tell people about the stone. I saw the thread about the spoiler warning, but the Spoiler Thread didn't lead anywhere. I put the instructions in a spoiler block though...

It's a good stone but for harder difficulties I like the Lord. 50 armor (Like an Ebony cuirass) and 25% less magic damage to you.

I think it was meant to be a toy you can play with in an open world. Killing townspeople isn't super hard anyway if that's what you really want to do. It's still not going to be all that godlike when you're doing quest content.

If you love it, run with it, dude.
