Arrow stuck in my head that won't go away

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 11:56 am

It's been in there for a really long time now and I'm starting to worry that it will never disappear. Is there anything I should be aware of as to how long arrows remain, or how to get them to disappear? It's starting to get in the way of me enjoying the game. The arrow isn't actually even in my body, it's hovering next to my head sticking almost straight up and down.

Is it in your helmet amor? Just sell it and rebuy it, see if that works. Just save before you sell it

Haha I had the same thing, looks [censored]. I didn't go away for hours (real time), and sleeping doesn't do anything. If there's a way I'd like to know too.

I'm more concerned about the fact you have an arrow in your head and you're still alive.

A bit of a sad oversight by Beth there lol

Apparently getting shot by more arrows works. Just let an archer pelt you until it goes away.

I haven't tested this with Skyrim, but something that sometimes worked in Oblivion was to drop all of your arrows and then pick them back up again. Can't hurt to try.

Thanks for the idea of letting another archer pelt me. I'd much prefer having them stick out of my gut than hovering in the air.

I did actually sell my helmet and it still remained. :(

The solution is to get shot by more arrows.

Well I guess Bethesda is not to blame for this bug. I mean...haha...for this to get noticed they would have to play their own games and you really can't expect that, now can you? :D

Actually, they have the game extensively playtested before it's released solely for the purpose of discovering and fixing bugs/problems.

They must not have played it "extensively" if they managed to play without getting hit by arrows.

I solved this one by going to the console and bringing up the set race menu. Reseting your race clears your character model.

Find a hostile archer and let the person shoot you (but not kill you, ehe)...then the new arrow replaces the old and hopefully they'll both be gone. That's what worked for me, at least.
