Dragons liking grilled horse a whole lot.

Yes, yes, I know it's realistic and all, but is there any way to keep Dragons from frying your horse...? :P

(must be the reason why horses are so cheap in Skyrim compared to Oblivion hehe)

i dunno the answer to your question, but considering what u said i bet dragons that arent scripted are frying your horses.

So how far in the main quest did u have to go to make them start appearing?

I am atm at The Tower Of Mzar, getting the scrolls, but i still havent had even 1 random dragon encounter.

After only one or two parts of the main quest after the first scripted dragon encounter at the West Tower, I had my first random dragon encounter. It was exhilarating lol! Except the first time it kept flying far away from me and attacked everything but me. But you wonder if you can keep the dragon from attacking your horse??? The dragon went all out on my horse and it never died! It had frost breath and mauled it and froze it but it never got hurt. Are horses invincible or not? (Well, riding it off a cliff does the trick :whistling: )

Horses arn't invincible, sadly! :(

I've gone through two so far, one I fell off of a small cliff on, and it obviously died, the second was killed while we (I say we, because the horse was kicking away at them) were fighting a group of bandits, it took several arrows to the rear :(

I didn't think of that much as a spoiler... still I would have rather not read it <_<

So really, bandits killed your horse?? Gee, sorry man. I've had my same one since I bought it at Whiterun and am a good ways past that point. Its taken me through mountains, fought in the middle of Bandit camps with me and Lydia, and survived a direct onslaught from a dragon. It got iced at least half a dozen times, bitten several, bandits have hacked away and its always been good. It even survived a Frost Troll when I could not (I turned down the difficulty level to kill it, I was kind of in a tight spot). I have had issues where its run away from fights and stuff inexplicably, but I just fast travel and its always around. I don't really like that its so aggressive though, it charges after everything it sees!

I've probably just been lucky so far. But this whole post is probably a jinx.
