Once and for all, can you turn off compass markers?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 12:43 pm

There's been mention of being able to turn QUEST markers off, without an official confirmation though. Does anyone know, for sure, and can provide evidence or at least tell me that you know 100%, that you can toggle things like 'undiscovered location' OFF?

We'd know this if a mod didn't decide to lock a very helpful thread. They were all non-spoiler, important questions. =(

Perhaps only with masking tape.

I know that I will be looking for a compass mod.

Don't thikn so, unless you count turning the entire UI invisible.

I hope it'll be an .ini setting this time around, like the quest markers always were. Otherwise we'll need DarN. :P

Pretty sure that quest markers can be turned off for each quest actually. You can't blanket disable them in the options but you can toggle them off for each quest. At least that's according to these people:

Yes you can. You have to turn them off in journal, it removes all quest markers.

If nothign else, you could always just select a quest that you are NOT doing so the markers become irrelevant to what you ARE doing. That's what I did in Oblivion, before mods came and helped me.
