How much gold do you have?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 4:20 pm

So, how much coin have you amassed in Skyrim so far?

I'm sitting at 6k, I haven't purposely acquired it; just questing/selling dungeon loot. I'm level 10.

So give us your coin number and level.

1,059 right now, though I haven't really done that much in the game and I've bought a few semi-expensive things.

Level 18 Pure Mage who hasn't even talked to the Grey Beards yet but has completed the College of Winterhold questline and did a lot of dungeoning: 20,000 gold

Level 7 Warrior who has done a tiny bit of exploring, is a hardcoe miner + smither + woodcutter, and is about half way done with the companion's questline: 1,200 gold ( Spent a lot on housing )

I got around 4k right now. Getting gold is easy, but things in the world are also a bit more expensive so I haven't decided how well balanced the whole system is yet.

Probably about 2k currently but i brought and fully upgraded the whiterun house and have tons of stuff i need to sell eventually. Pretty much just been spending my money on crafting stuff to get my smithing skill up and horses cause they don't seem to survive falls as well as i do.

12.6k gold, lvl 15, spent a lot on gear and improving. Might go buy a house in white run or get the house in windhelm since I already completed the stormcloak rebellion.

Guess I need to jump on and start chopping some wood and smithing a lot more! I thought being a lvl 7 with around 2K was good! But in my defense I havn't done too much to earn that money, minor smithing and a small quest or 2

well that svcks ... having so much money so easily really is a bummer. One of my fondest memories in Oblivion was at the beginning of the game. I was a thief/assassin in the imperial city and was pretty low level and weak. As I didn't wanna die every 5 min exploring dungeons witth [censored] gear, I went into an armor shop to look at some gear(way too expensive ) and then broke into the store at night and stole what I needed.

This was truly satisfying and made me feel like a real thief who was on his own and could count on his skills to survive.

But with weak ennemies that die after 2 or 3 slashes and give you plenty of gold anytime there's no more fun in doing the above mentioned :(. Please someone prove me wrong or tell me that gold is scarcer the higher the difficulty!
