All my terrible issues with this game

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 12:44 pm

NOTHING.

That's right. Skyrim is [censored] perfect. It lived up to the hype.
I've played for 20+ straight hours and i haven't found a single damned glitch yet.
This game is a godsend, and it helped re-unite my family again. My life just got longer because i'm much more healthy now.
Everything's perfect. Game of the century right here.

Who else is blown away by this game's awesomeness?

Sooo you don't think it's perfect then? :P
I'm finding it brilliant so far. Haven't been able to be on it much since I've been at my partners this weekend. But from what I've played I've been very very impressed. And from the gorgeous graphics to the vast improvement on sheer scenery and atmosphere to even something as simple as putting much more depth to which race you pick. Hands down the best game I've played for years

Haven't read any of the complaining threads. But I'm quite enjoying myself. bout 20 hours in and i'm still getting used to a few things like the menu's. I may never get over oblivion and how it trained me that my quest menu would be in the B button same as everything else, not the start button lol. I think it's very great. My only things are personal things I would like to have done that don't effect how much I enjoy it. Like no looking at your character in the menu's, no being able to zoom the camera in and out in 3rd person, no being able to rotate camera in 3rd person with weapons drawn (YES, i'm vain, i like to look at myself)

so yeah, if i my biggest complaint is that I can't look at myself how I want to i think i'm pretty happy.

You're playing the 360 version, I take it (B button)? I'm playing the PS3 version, but this should carry over for you regardless. I'm able to rotate the camera in third-person with weapons drawn. The trick is to hold down the right anolog trigger while moving the left anolog stick.

I think the menu is pretty good actually.
There are some minor usability issues like the seemingly pointless separate menu's for magic/skills/map and journal.

But once you're used to it, I find it to be very fast to get around.

I feel absolutely dissapointed with Skyrim. It feels disjointed and way too clunky, melee combat is unresponsive, conversation system is a step down from fallout NV. The engine is trying to do too many things at once and chugging because of it. Side jobs are GTA4 all over again, quests are just follow quest marker affair again... what happened to NPC's showing us the way to an old ruin? quests are even more streamlined now. I did a companion quest and all i was told was to 'find a noblewomans kidnapped daughter' the details, names and locations were all in my journal. Im thinking of trading it for Dark Souls.

yup, 360 version. also, THANK YOU for teaching me how to rotate. A few things such as that and grabbing items by holding the A button didn't come naturally to me and I found out on here.

Don't get me wrong, Skyrim is awesome, but the underlined part confuses me.

If you re-bind your keys, does that not break favoriting for you ? If I change my keys I can no longer favorite items or spells from my menu.

What did you do to fix or avoid this ?

NOTHING.

I suppose you play on a widescreen TV, the text is unreadable on a standard. Its a terrible issue and it must be acknowledged.
