For the love of God how do you easily holster left hand item

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 1:36 am

I can not find an easy way to do this! I don't want my healing spell in my left hand all the time!
I JUST want my ax in my right hand. Why is there no empty left hand button on the keyboard? Or is there and i'm just an idiot? :)

Well if you have whatever you have equipped in your favorites, if you open up that menu and left click that item which you have equipped and it'll equip nothing. Other than that, I don't know if you can sheath ONLY your left hand weapon.

Just press the button in which you use your left arm.

Then you're done.

For the PC, it is reversed since it's a console port:

You press the right mouse button to equip to the LEFT HAND.
You press the left mouse button to equip to the RIGHT HAND.

One of many PC flaws...

Umm no. Its like this because the right mouse button has always been secondary attack in PC games.

That's more to do with the fact that PC games traditionally use left click for your attack.

In Mount and Blade its left click to attack with your sword in your right hand, right click to block with your shield, is that because it's a console port?

Hell, even Gordon Freeman carries his crowbar in his right hand.

Thank you. Though not having a sheath left handed weapon button seems like a huge mistake... Also, I agree, I would like my left mouse button to control my left hand and the right mouse button to control my right hand. Any way to change this?

As pointed out, it's because that's how it's normally done.

But, if you want, you can re-map the buttons. I did. Took 2 seconds.

You just gotta get used to the favorite menus. Left click for right hand, right click for left hand. It's pretty simple.

Hotkey the thing you want in your left hand. Works perfectly in first person, and only a minor issue with appearance in third person but only if it's a weapon.

Wel yeah and the supreme flawed logic here is that the PC had to be right handed. You make him left handed and the problem solves itself.

If only there was a Settings menu where you could remap your keys...
