My one beef with skyrim

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 5:35 pm

Caught up in how [censored] amazing the game looks i was not saving as much as I should.
I just now looked and it turns out the one vampire I fought turned me, and it was bout 40 minutes ago, and my last save is from 3 hours ago, with all autosaves being after i contracted it...

First off i took him out with a bow, and he only hit me maybe twice before i dropped him ( thank you bows for being a bit more powerful this time around.) and then i left the cave because i didnt want to deal with them.
And after those 2 hits im now a [censored] [censored] vampire... is this just bad luck for the chance to turn or did they make fighting vampires a really [censored] annoying thing by making it pretty much a sure thing...

I dont want to be a vampire and i dont have time to go on another gay [censored] cure hunt so i have to go back to pretty much the beginning of the game. Has anyone done the cure quest and if so, is it just as bad?

Dont tell me being a vampire is awesome, it is when your ready and have a character build for it, i do not.

Cliffs

-dont fight vampires if you dont want to be one. I got turned in 2 hits.
- Save so often its [censored].

Can't you just use a cure disease potion, you don't actually become a proper vampire until you sleep, at which point it also becomes incurable. Or does it not work like that anymore?

Go find a cure. Go and find the quest to cure yourself. This is part of your adventure in game

I can guarantee there is always a way to cure being a vampire in the scrolls games. Cure disease potion should cure you before you turn if you have turned theirs usually an elaborate quest to get rid of it. Think of it as more exploring and dungeon fun to add to the game.

I was infected by what appears to be the same situation as you and didn't realize it in time to use cure disease or even would have though of doing that in time.

It is a pain but enjoy the game and look for a cure. Every TES game has a way to cure that disease

I stumbled across some vampires shortly after the tutorial and owned them with the first flame spell, hardly got injured much less vampirised.

I caught the disease and did away with it by drinking a quick cure disease potion
there was an on screen message saying I had contracted it and everything
did manage to somehow get rockjoint while I wasn't watching :S
but again a cure disease potion made quick work of that

not really any reason to hate the entire game IMO
ow and save save save, had to learn that the hard way myself

This doesn't sound so much like a beef with Skyrim as a beef with yourself

It just happens after a period of time, no need to sleep.

Guide to cure if you really don't wanna figure it out yourself. I managed to just load back an hour and get cured at a statue.
