Bound Weapon Strength?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 4:55 pm

Hey everyone,

I am glad to see that conjured weapons and armor have been improved since Oblivion (especially the time limit on them.)
However, I can't seem to tell exactly how much damage conjured weapons do.

I do realize that perks in 1 and 2 handed weapons and archery affect bound weapons, but can't tell to what extent.
Even the conjuration perk that improves bound weapon damage doesn't list any additional information.

As far as I can tell, bound item stats are identical to daedric. Which means really, really good.

They're quite good, but off-set by the lack of enchanting effects.

"They are quite good" or "As far as I can tell" doesn't really tell me anything. I'm looking for some numbers. Or at least a formula of some sort so I can work it out myself.

They used to be the same as daedric, now I don't know.

All I know is that dual-weiling bound swords and putting perks in the conjuration and one handed skill trees, Is really, really powerful. :toughninja:

Even the guide doesn't tell us this, which is very dissapointing. Guess we will have to wait for an editor or something to find out. Or you know someone who programmed the game could tell us.

So the general consensus is that:

1. Bound weapons are strong.
2. Just how strong, no one knows.

It's kinda weird how it doesn't display the damage of these skills, considering how every other damage dealing spell lists how much damage it does right in the description.

Also, I never got around to it yet, but does bound armor list how much protection they provide?

You can figure it out easily. Bind the weapon to you. Then go to your menu and select another weapon. Have a look at the attack difference (in brackets) that you will get for changing weapon. I'm level 10 and my bound sword was 5 lower than my sky forge sword, so not actually that powerful at all.

Interesting. I'll have to check that out.
Did you choose the conjuration perks that were related to bound weapon damage?

Nope, not yet, but I do intend to.
