I had envisioned fighting Dragons with a Ax/Board wtih Oblivion poisons (poisons that do damage over time) and making them bleed over time as well (I wasn't expecting poisons in Skyrim to do just single hit damage, not a big deal, just didn't expect it). With dots from the poisons and the bleeding effect, I was going to be able to do damage the dragon while he still flew over head.
Well sadly I'm not impressed by the Ax bleed effect and will probably switch to mace. I'm level 17 atm and am going to start over. Sound familiar? It'd be nice if I didn't have to, but there's no way to refund perk points. I've also realized how incredibly powerful "Concentrated Poison" is. A poison that I can make now at 30 alchemy does roughly 20 damage. "Concentrated Poison" will allow that poison to hit twice in two different hits for 40 damage. That's a pretty big deal. That's a BIG chunk of damage. That's more than the base damage of most of my weapons. And my marksmanship and 1h skill are also about 30ish. Originally I hadn't planned to get this perk, but now I definitely going to.
It's reasons like the above that, even though it'd break immersion a bit, makes me want to respec my perks.
