Do the dragon skeletons remain forever?

But what if a dragon attacks, say a small town and I don't want the gigantic skeleton to stay in the middle of it forever?

It seems bodies of dead crap stays around forever too? My most traveled paths have like a gazillion dead critters and people on em, its really quite annoying. And I thought NPC's were supposed to grab loot laying around? I actually tested it, put down 3 different items, have been gone from the area for like an ingame month, and when I came back THEY WERE STILL THERE. Really quite annoying that everything will be where you put it forever

Try to wait/sleep for 3 days. Maybe they'll respawn.

If you sleep, you'll feel well rested...

Try going indoors, in a town separate from the town you want to reset, and sleep for 73 hours and see what happens.

Nope. Dragons skeletons don't stay forever. Only for a few days, I think.

Well, the skeleton of the first dragon has remained for two (ingame) weeks atleast for me. It has also traveled from the guard tower to Whiterun's gate :lmao:

The respawn timer for this game is absolutely huge (250 days?).

I'm pretty sure that named or scripted dragons stay forever but random dragons disappear.
