I'd played around 10 hours with a character and I thought I'd start as a different race and see what it's like, a couple of hours later I though I'd load my old file but it wasn't there just a load of auto saves from my new game

Anyone know why this happened?

When you start a new game it auto-selects the next numbered slot in the queue, unfortunatly it does this even if its already taken by a manual save.

So there's no way round it?

Turn off autosaves?

Can you turn off auto save?

Odd, that didn't happen to me.

I currently have three characters, and none of them have been overwritten or anything.
