Dragon bones.

Is it true that after you kill a dragon their bones stay in the place where they die for the rest of the game? I really do hope that this is not the case. Reason being, it just seems that over time there would be too many dragon skeletons in odd places. Places where they should be cleaned up. Now given, if its in the middle of no where, or on top of a mountain it would be reasonable to say that the bones should stay there the rest of the game. But lets say you kill a dragon, maybe right outside of a town, on top of a main road. I really don't want to see it over and over. It should be "cleaned up."

Most dragon encounters are near the mountains away from main roads and towns.

My only dragon skeleton floated away...

I hope they do disappear after a while, it would be annoying having a skeleton in the middle of town forever.

Not an hour ago i was getting on a carriage to winterhold from windhelm and it kept telling me you can't use this in combat; then a huge dragon landed literally right behind the carriage. It died right there behind the stables, several horses felt the need to help me slay the dragon as well.

One landed in the courtyard of the College of Winterhold. The mages and I took it down. It's remains are still in the courtyard near the statue. Looks cool.

Nope. Some dragons like Mirmulnir like to stick their bones in really ugly places. http://i28.lulzimg.com/cf94e884fc.jpg

I've got a huge dragon skeleton right in the middle of the College of Winterhold courtyard.

Almost had TWO skeletons, but the second dragon flew away before I could finish it off.

This is really my only complaint about them. Like destroyed Oblivion gates, they never go away. But unlike Oblivion gates, these skeletons end up in very inconvenient places. I hope Bethesda takes them on in a future patch. Surely they thought of that. What I do right now is save the game before dragon fight and make sure they don't wind up in some crazy, stupid location, like right in front (or through) a main city gate.
