i decided to uninstall the game from my hdd (not my save though just to try out the texture test that people have been talking about (running the game from disc) .have i lost the 1.1 update from doing that? as i do not have a broadband/phone line at home (had to install from the shop i bought the game from).thanks p.s i couldn't tell any difference when running from the disc or hdd tbh

No you will not loose the patch. I did exactly that. I also installed to a memory stick now. I am sure when you install the game, the game is installed, and when a patch is installed it doesn't overwrite the files so when you uninstall the game, the patch is still there.

The patch will only uninstall if you clear your HDD cache, uninstalling the game itself will not remove the patch so you will be ok, just be carefull not to clear HDD cache.
