Weapon speeds...

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 8:05 am

Am I being really dense? Do weapons have different speeds which affect dps? For example, I'm assuming that it is better for my assassin/thief build to have a dagger in each hand rather than a sword, but obviously the ones I've found so far have been lower "damage" than the swords.

Can someone clear this up for me please? I can't seem to see any indication of speed, or things that affect DPS...

Yes , weapons have different speeds, swords are faster than axes which in turn is faster than maces. (This is mentioned in the random hints you get in loading screens).

I don't know if daggers are faster than swords or not. (It would make sense for them to be faster) , i guess we'll find the exact speed values once the construction set is out.

Thanks mate - I'm surprised they didn't include speed, seems to be quite relevant but I guess in terms of realism it makes sense for you to have to work it out.
