Enemies using finishers on me! : V

So I'm fighting a few bandits, manage to take them all out except one and have just over a third of my health left when it goes into third person. I'm thinking to myself "nice, I got a finisher", until I notice it's the bandit that shoving his sword through me!
And of course I forgot to save, so I endedup having to start the entire dungeon over...
I guess it's only fair that they can use them too, but it still pissed me off

Has anyone else had enemies use finishers on them?

Edit: Same bandit just finished me again, this time I was at half health

Had a dragon eat me from 100% health. I guess that counts!

It doesn't really matter since that wouldve killed you even if there weren't finishers....

That was cool.

Other than that, no finishers when dying.

@Fenrir: You can't know that. Enemies can deal critical damage, do power attacks and such. A power attack would indeed be worth 2-3 normal slices, thus making it a finisher.

First time it happened to me both me and my opponent were at low health, so when the finishing move happened I thought 'haha got him, oh wait that's me' :sadvaultboy:

My face was beaten to a bloody pulp by Gian the Fist in the rat ways, but that's it. Other than that the mace of molag bal takes care of everything.

To my limited knowledge it will only trigger a "Finisher" if the swing was to kill whomever was been attacked.

I didn't get pissed, I stared in awe as the bandit chief mashed my skull in with a warhammer, tossing me off the edge of a cliff with a second smack from his weapon.

My last save was 10 minutes ago, and I accepted my defeat, glad that I went out with my skull painting the ground.

Yeah, they can do them. And i think it's so cool to see my companion impale some one and stuff...love it. And it's also cool to get killed by a finisher

I'm not sure about that. I remember using finishers on enemies that would've taken a few more hits to kill normally

I've had a Draugr Wight or Dreadlord, can't remember which, one-shot me from about 140 health to zero.

It wasn't a fancy finishing move, but it got its point across.

that happened to me two i was like WHAT mine was like the bandit chief and i had killed everyone else and was about to kill him until that happened

That happened to me once against some enemies with the same armor. I was like yay finisher

Yeah, Gian the Fist actually ran up to me, grabbed me by the throat, flipped me upside down and body slammed me face-first into the ground, killing me. It was awesome. :biggrin:

I like that enemies can do Finishers on the player. Like others have said, if they can do a Finisher on you it meant that hit would have killed you anyway. Remember, enemies can perform critical hits too, so just because their last couple of hits weren't as harmful doesn't mean this last one wasn't going to be devastating.

I don't mind it that much, but a couple times I have been out of their way, and my character snaps in front of them allowing them to do a finisher. Also there are some where I could have gotten a hit in while they were trying to finish me, but they don't let you do anything to interrupt a finisher.

Yeah its happened to me lots. pretty annoying. i even got one shotted by an arrow today at about 75% health

Yeah, I got thrown away by the first dragon in the main quest because I was an idiot.
And I also got finished off by a few bandit chiefs or whatever they're called.

I absolutely love it! Makes me play cautiously when I'm below 50% health against a tough oponent.
