Ok, so i was doing a quest in the companions guild called Proving Honor and lidya just disappeared! i didn't talk to her or anything, she just vanished! anyway i can get her or my stuff back?

Well, there's always the possibility that you might have accidentally killed her at one point without noticing...

I had the same thing happen to me, except I had Sven along. Basically, when you accept the Companion quest "Proving Honour"....your follwer gets replaced by Falkas. I saw a brief message saying that Falkas has temporarily replaced my follower or something like that. Then Sven disappeared. I finished the quest and I'm looking all over for him but cant find a trace. I'm hoping Sven returns to his house eventually so I can get my stuff back!

I think what happens is you have to finish that quest all the way and then you'll find the companion back where you first met them. Lydia should be in Dragonreach and Sven should be back in Riverwood.

yah if u do a quest and lose them they r usualy back where u first found them.
But my game has glitched and i cant find my guy nor can i get a new one :/ (on the 360)

My companion disappeared after getting smacked by a giant and flying into the sky to never fall back down. But its ok because it was awesome.

I'm wondering why they didn't use the system from Fallout NV. They added the names of them on the map so you can see where they were.

They could also add them as markers on the compass. (Select them like a quest, from a list of encountered companions.)
