Enchanting...

can anyone give me a link or explain how it works? I know it says you have to learn the effects to be able to enchant it well how do you do that or where do you find it and what materials do you need to enchant? Thanks in advance!

To learn enchants you need to disenchant an item you find/buy that already has an enchant. Once you disenchant it, you will learn that enchantment forever... But beware, once you disenchant an item, it's destroyed. Then, you need a weapon, armor, jewerly to put an enchantment on. Then you pick a soul gem (the quality soul gem determines how many times you can use the enchant before it runs out) and then you create it.

All the above is done at an arcane enchanting station. It looks similar to an alchemy station but a bit harder to find. There's one inside dragonsearch in White Run city.

Go into any Holds keep and find the court wizard. His room contains an Arcane Enchanter. You use this just like you use the blacksmith stuff and the alchemy lab. The only material required for enchanting is filled soul gems. Also you need to disenchant items with a certain enchantment to be able to enchant other stuff with that enchantment. Its pretty cool. Disenchanting destroys the item of course but also gains you enchanting skill ups.

Bandits (in dungeons particularly) sometimes carries enchanted weapons, and necromancers enchanted clothes and robes.

Enchanted items can be bought (very pricey) or found in dungeons or other areas of interest. They can also be awarded for doing quests. Soulgems, like enchantments, can be bought (pricey) or found. I advise buying empty soulgems and filling them up yourself, as it is more cost effective money-wise.
Spoiler
Azura's Star is also available for a quest.

With Smithing, enchanting can be very profitable if you are curious. Make the stuff, then enchant it. I do it, and I make tons of money off of it.
