Light or Heavy

I prefer heavy due to the protection though it's heavy and uses a lot of stamina.

Heavy for melee based characters due to the fact that enemies will be hitting me extremely often. Light for stealth / ranged based characters.

Take it off if you want to run somewhere. Unless you have a roleplaying-based decision like I have with one of my characters, heavy armour is the logical choice for a warrior. You cold always mix heavy and light armour to reduce the weight.

Depends.

On my Bosmer archer (straight-up combat focus, not stealth) he'll use both, depending on what the highest tier he finds is. For my Orc warrior, he uses full Heavy Armor, because I got perks for it.

Both are viable for melee and ranged characters, it depends a lot on preference and situation.

Though you can still back pedal in this game to evade people's hits well most of them....

I use light armor on my Orc 2H warrior and haven't come across anything that I couldn't tackle. Some with health potions. I can run in and get my double critical hit while retaining most of my fatigue.

I tried a heavy 2h Nord, but I didn't like it. I mean it's too slow and uses way too much stamina. If I were to try again, I would probably just make it a pure melee warrior.
