My First Random Dragon :(

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 5:08 am

(Game currently paused while I write this and figure out what to do!)

I was just wondering along when I came across this tiny fort that looked like it was built out of cardboard and broken dreams that just happened to house a lonely witch. I killed her and began to ransack her house for valuable items. During my search of this hut I hear a loud roar outside, and then the ground began to shake violently. Sure enough I poke my head out of this hut and there stands a dragon waiting to roast my ass.

I am playing on expert difficulty and do not thing I am quite ready to take on this beast. What do I do?! I am thinking about just booking it out of there and running to the nearest city I can find, though its a bit away. sigh..

Anyways, gonna finish my midnight snack while I ponder what the hell to do to get out of this!

This dragon had me cornered int his little hut for like 15 - 20 minutes until I see him catch his attention on something. I peeked my head out of the hut to see what it was and a giant came to save me! I ran over to help kill the last 1/3 of the dragons health, and BAM. My first (random) dragon kill, with the aid of a friendly passer by giant of course :)

Epic moment. LOVE THIS GAME!

Lol I've had a giant aid me before too, although I instigated it directly by leading the dragon through his camp.

Usually my first response to that familiar roar is to run to somewhere which gives me the advantage on terrain; if there's no such place around, I just run.

Have not had one yet but I already know what I'll do.

I'm saving and then gonna test out my skills. If I find the dragon challenging beyond my skills then I'm finding a way to run like a scared deer. So ya my opinion is save.

You say your on expert, is that the highest setting and how is that working out for you? Was thinking about raising the difficulty.

Expert is one step below Master, which would be the highest. I think Expert is a good level to play on (for me anyways). It offers a decent challenge in most scenarios. If you have a brain and use everything to your advantage during a fight then you'll be alright. I like having to think instead of just hit my mouse button to kill things. So I'd say expert is a good one to go with. To be honest I would be extremely upset if I was able to just walk up to this dragon and kill him without a challenge. Now I know when a dragon comes around, go into survival mode until you can get a plan together.

I sat in that hut for 20mins trying to figure out what the hell to do until that giant came around. Lucky me!

In the first picture you can see the giant casually walk away after the dragon was downed, and in the second picture you can see me posing next to the skeleton of the dragon, with the hut I had to hide in for 20mins behind me. :)
