Thank you Bethesda :)

I don't know if any of the dev's from Bethesda peruse these forums with any level of frequency (and god help them if they do :P) but should any of them see this I'd just like to say a big thank you for the amount of effort that they've poured into this game :foodndrink:
Despite the volume of complaints posted here I think I can speak for the majority of us when I say we're very happy with what you have created and that we're looking forward to updates to iron out bugs and future expansions / dlc :)

Thank you, Bethesda. :foodndrink:

I couldn't be happier with the game so far. It's easily the best/my favorite game ever already, and I think I've actually experienced only 1 billionth of 1% of the game so far.

On Xbox 360, for whatever that's worth.

I've been waiting for this game for as long as I can remember, and the wait was VERY worth it. If I didn't have bethesda games I would have sold my xbox by now.
Can't wait to see what you all do next!
Well I can wait actually... Because I have Skyrim!

I love skyrim but some of the things that happened in it are weird, like animals walking underwater and they don't drown (lol wut?), putting buckets on peoples heads grants you to steal everything as long as that bucket is on their head and Giants hitting you and you go flying up by 1000km, weird stuff but great game

Yes, THANK YOU! I am enjoying every minute of it. Because this game is so massive in scope, it's easy to be forgiving for some minor technical glitches or AI pathing. And I've only scratched the surface at about 12 hours in!

Why did gamespot have to give it a 9.0 though? Is Uncharted 3 really just as good as this game?

I would agree, I haven't enjoyed a new gaming experience this much since when I first played Fallout 3 and this is better than even that game, I really hope this same team once the Skyrim project is done moves on to a new Fallout. New Vegas was really good and I enjoyed it but it just lacked something Fallout 3 had, can't put my finger on what it was but even though I enjoyed New Vegas it didn't make me want to go back and playthrough again mulitple times as Fallout 3 did. Skyrim will do, I haven't even scratched the surface of the game yet and have played almost constantly since release.

Yes there are some things to iron out, volume level for the speech for example, I sometimes also find it hard to decide whether an NPC in the distance is a friendly or not, would be nice if we got a green icon to represent a friendly or neutral as well as the red we get. I know some people are angry about the UI but while it could do with a few tweaks people are way over the top.

Frankly there hasn't been a game in the last few years , since Fallout 3 as I say, that has made we want to go without sleep, or food, if I had a girlfriend she'd probably be walking out about now ;-)

my opinion, no.
that being said, if beth reads this, thanks, and keep em coming.
please never try to make tes like uncharted. your better than that... arena was better than that.
a peice of paper and a six sided die are better than that.
skyrim is phenomenal.

This thread, man. <3

Anyways, officially my favorite game of all time, the only downside being the many hours of sleep it's deprived of me so far, but that's a necessary evil.

Bethesda, keep being great. :tes:

Yup, we thank Bethesda for their work.

I had mixed emotions at first - but now I see that the game is deep, deep, deep... and now I've got it running smoothly maxed out. A gorgeous, and rich game.

I haven't finished this game, but I'm really loving it.

I've played Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fall out New Vegas (+ all DLC) and these were great, but Skyrim takes it to a whole new level! The slightly higher price of USD 60 was well worth it.

Yh same here.

I've began to realize through watching sites for other games that whatever a great game does, the better it and more popular it becomes the more people unnecessarily complain. They hate change yet they always want something new. The same is happening with MW3 at the mo... The more popular the game is the more people think they have a right to knit pick over silly little details and feel their right to contribute to the making. Just enjoy the bloody game!!

Elder Scrolls Skyrim is near perfect IMO. A great follow up. I love the newer way of character creation

Play the game as though you've never played an Elder Scrolls game before. Play the game like a new release with no other previous connected series. The game has no rival on the market. Its brilliant. Stop comparing and knit picking so early on.

I complain about the PC GUI issues but I am also impressed... I absolutely love the landscape and environment!

There are a great deal of nice little touches- many little critters going about there business, lovely particle effects and nice weather create a very "natural" atmosphere. I love the physical depth of the landscape too, with so many flows of water. Exploring is a true pleasure. :twirl:

Lots of other good stuff too: combat is better, decent characters (haven't met many yet), sounds are good, animation is OK... sure I will encounter more to enjoy.

When the UI issues are sorted I will happily be completely immersed. Everything else will be icing... which I do crave!

I am playing and loving the game so far. The graphics are much better than oblivion. I like the game play, combat, and magic. The alchemy is a bit of a struggle for me, and I haven't tried out the enchanting yet. The lack of a class system is no big deal to me because I always used custom class for Oblivion and Morrowind, and the new system isn't close to that. So far the new radiant story system is good.
One thing I think u will have to do in the next game, either Fallout or Elder Scrolls, is to have it fully voice acted, include the main character.

You know it can sound kinda weird , specially for new generations of players , but what i feel playing skyrim is that the game has a soul , exactly what ALL games lack these days.
I had not these sensations playing a game since long, long time.
