"Oh, WOW... you look awful. Don't get ME sick." wtf?

Everytime I walk into whiterun and walk by any man or woman, I always hear them make some snide comment about how "bad" i look or how i shouldn't get them sick... why is this?

OP - I'm a Wood Elf and have had nothing but blatant racism in every encounter I've had...

What race are you?

You've probably contracted a disease. Check your 'active effects' tab in the 'magic' menu. Either visit a temple for a blessing or drink a 'cure disease' potion. Alternatively, become a Werewolf :)

I had a couple of npcs say that to my character. Turns out I had missed the message she had contracted a disease from one of the wolf attacks. Visiting the temple in Whiterun fixed it.

This happens a bit on my guy too, even without any diseases or poisons on my.
I've even been told by a guard that I prefer bow weapons even tho i have leveled it up about 5 skills points and put no perks in it at all.
Seems to me the ai is a little off about what's going on around them tbh.

Out of curiosity, did you have your bow equipped at the time? For me, same character as before, dual wielding axe and sword, but I had my bow equipped but not drawn when I went into town, and I got the remark about being a bowman.

At first I thought the "You look Ill" thing continued after being cured until you hit a load door, but it's looking like once you've caught a disease NPC's will sometimes still think you do even if you don't. Even in locations you haven't been to yet.

Or, there is one or more diseases that are bugged and are not displaying. I'd say this is very unlikely, but...
