Is it possible? I have a horse, is it possible for me to use it as Pack Mule, if I make an improved saddles for it?

Also wondering about this. Would be a great place for my Dragon scales and bones until I have the money to buy a house.

Doesn't seem like you're able to do so. Using some "public" container is risky, but haven't lost anything till I had the money for a house.

This is awesome... They make big, sturdy horses for Skyrim, and they are slower than your Oblivion horses, guess what? Even though they are sturdy and big, you can't make use of it! At least give us some craftable special kind of saddle so we can store those big and husky dragon stuff :(

Why bother with horses as pack mules when you got companions to do the carrying?

They do? I've seen my companion thwacked my a Giant, fly into the stratosphere, slam face first into a rock on the way down, slide down the the mountain, then get back up 1 minute later. And charge at the Giant again and repeat.

My companion has been "killed" a few times now in the same manner but never actually dies. Similar to an "Important NPC" staggers for a bit then returns to normal.

The only way my companion has died, is if I was the one who killed her on accident with a shout or her jumping infront of my mace.

Nothing happens.

They also seem to be able to carry an almost endless amount of items, regardless of weight.

However, i do recommend that you sell your stored items every now and then, just to be on the "safe" side ;)

Companions deffinitly do have a weight limit but it seems pretty high and there is no way of seeing how much they are carrying it just doesn't let you give them any more stuff.

I think being able to craft a saddle that can hold items is a great idea, someone will probably make a mod but i don't know what people on consoles are supposed to do.
