I haven't bothered with enchantments so far but I'm about to start a mage character and he will be doing a lot of it.

So how do I get the souls to enchant equipments?

I have both an enchanted bow and a spell to get the souls.

Find a weapon of binding, tis the easiest way.

First you need an empty soul gem (there pretty much everywhere) then to fill the soul gem you need to learn the soul trap spell from a tomb that you can buy from a mage called Falion in Morthal. just look for his house and he should be inside. once you have the spell cast it on something then kill it quickly then the soul gem should automatically absorb the soul.
