Blocking with aone handed weapon

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 9:35 pm

Hi!

Is there a way to block with a one handed weapon when your other hand holds a spell? If you only wield a weapon and have your other hand empty you can block with the weapon but if both hands are occupied it doesn't work does it?

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

parrying requires both hands, if you watch the animation from NPCs you'll see they use both hands when parrying. Your mechanics are no different.

I haven't tried it but as you block with your left hand, what happens if you hold the sword in that hand? I'm guessing you can only attack, as the left hand control is either Cast Spell, Attack or Block and the appropriate action will be dependant on if you have a weapon, spell or shield in the at hand.

Ah, ok thank you.

I feel a bit vulnerable with my character using an axe and a spell, no way to escape harm but by evading strikes :)

Or, what is more likely is that you simply block by using the non-weapon button.
