Skyrim's crime system explained.

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 9:00 am

Hey Skyrimmers..

First of all, I love the game:)...
Though, there are some bugs,mistakes... It doesn't really mather for me..

Anyway..
I noticed some diffrences in the crime system wich i don't really understand.
Could someone please explain it to me? In a clear detailed way..
I would for example like to know if my ; Lifetime bounty, is my current bounty or where i could check it... Currently i check it by pressing ESCAPE>statistics>crime ..
And I would like to know how it generally works with murdering..
I noticed something like: You killed the last witness...

Does it work like that?
If i murder 3 people and murder all the witnesses, won''t i get in trouble then?

Plz help me :)

btw;
Sorry for crappy english, but im on my work now and i need to hurry typing thing so i cbf to check my grammar or think about the sentences
ty for understanding trollz

I walked to Riftin from the game's start after I heard rumors of the thieves guild being there.
I was hoping to have my bounty removed. Is there a way this can be done with the Thieve's guild?

Lifetime bounty is your total bounty combined, and is not actual active bounties, allthough it does include those too.
highest bounty, is the highest bounty ever recieved at once.

your actual bounties are stated specificly for each city.
like Solitude bounty - 1000

If there are witnesses you are in reality caught because that witness will tell the guards, so the bounty shows up. if you kill the witness it negates the bounty.

1) Don't bug the giants
2) Ye shall not kill chickens
3) The sweetroll belongs to him or her whose teeth are halfway through it
4) The mead belongs to him or her that laid down the coin for it
5) The placing of baskets, buckets and kettles on heads is henceforth a capital offence (with the next patch)
6) Do not Fus Ro Dah at the dinner table

Alright,

That's very clear @ Carnivore.

So I might get 5000 bounty from killing some argonians, but get rid of it by killing all witnesses.... Okay clear.

But could you tell me where i can see my current bounty, in all cities?
Where does it stand.

To begin my post; I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have no clue how I can check your current bounty. What I do know is that even if you kill all the witnesses, you will have to live a life as an outlaw, because as soon as you set foot in a town with guards you will be arrested or assaulted. The best tip I can give you is to complete quests, and I highly recommend doing side quests; you will get tasks to assassinate or murder people, which won't give you any bounty if you complete the quest correctly. I don't think there's any other way to avoid getting bounty.
