I want the Skyrim books...on my mobile phone!

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 8:55 pm

OK, as a working father of three I find that my game time is limited, so I find my self not wanting to use my precious game time reading books in game. But I do spend a lot of time waiting in the car for my kids, or at soccer/vollyball/football games/practice. So I thought it would be great to be able to read the books on my Android phone.
Can this be done?
Any app developers want to take a crack at this?
Would anyone else appreciate this?

It would be pretty easy to make, just copy all the text from the books once the Creation Kit's been released and then store it all in an app.

Bethesda's lawyers might have a problem with it though.

This would be FANTASTIC as an app, but I want the functionality to be that you don't get to read them until your character has found them in the game. I would definitely pay my 1.99 for an app like that.

maybe not if Bethesda created it! I would love to read these books in an app, I have the same issue as the op (only 1 little one right now though)

If it could be tied to actual progress in game then that would be great. I can understand not getting quest related books on the phone, but there are so many books about the history of Tamriel and other stories that are not really quest related that I would love to just be able to read to more fully immerse myself in the lore of the land.

Getting an actual interface with your in game progress may be too much to ask for, so the app could simply allow you to check off if you have completed a quest or visited a dungeon etc.. then provide you with the proper books to read.

one thing you can do it meantime.

many of the books are verbatim on UESP.net.

my mobile has a reader format for text and so if I goto the wiki, I can look up a book and read it.

Thanks, but all I can find on UESP is the guides, I want the books that you find in game. If there are there I can't find them
