I remember you could key bind weapons or spells for the buttons 1 - 9 at oblivion. I wonder how can I use it on skyrim without having a big unhandy favorite list of spells that is only binded to one key...?

You can open the favorites menu and hold down 1 - 9 to create a hotkey for each spell or weapon.
