Stealth, One-Handed, & Conjuration

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 8:38 am

All,

Do bound weapons work with the one-handed tree? What about stealth? And can you dual wield bound weapons?

Specifically, if I have bound sword, and 100% to one-handed damage, and bonus damage to conjured weapons, do those stack? Basically, does my one-hand skill apply to a bound sword? What about dual wielding bound swords and doing savage flurries and savage strikes and paralysis.

Even better, what about bound dagger, bonus damage to bound dagger from conjuration, bonus damage to onehanded weapon, x15 backstab with dagger, and the DB x2 to backstab?

If these dont interact, of course, it wont work. I have a concept for a mage-assassin. Trying to flesh it out.

those are good questions. I would also like to know.

I have level 10 thief and when sneak and bow fail, I have to run. wondering if I should up magic or 1h. what you all think?

I am wondering if I should conjure more and powerful summons, or if I should use smith a ton and use one hand dual wield.

what has been successful build for you?

if the bound weapon is a one-handed weapon then yes. Once you conjure the weapon it gives you progress towards conjuration but when you attack with it it gives you progress for one-handed. You can dual wield bound weapons if you have the spell I think. One thing that is nice about conjuration is that you can summon an atronach in the middle of a room and they won't instantly detect you for doing it if you are hidden. They might be suspicious of your presence (for obvious reasons) but they are too busy attacking your summon. I like that you aren't instantly detected in this game. Stealth is much better.

what strength do conjured weapons have? do they increase with levels in conjuration? the disadvantage would be you cant enchant them, improve them and i assume also not poisson them...and you cant use potential unique weapons you might find...

ps: as far as i know - no conjured dagger, only sword for 1h

I think that they are almost as strong as daedric.

If it is the case, then I will def make a character who has just the stealth perks needed to get the biggest sneak attack I can get with a bound dagger, and otherwise go all destruction and conjuration. Sneak in, assassinate a guy, if I miss, dual fire or frost spells. If I succeed, continue and atronach it up. ;)

Would be a good candidate for a hybrid, to stick with to level cap.

Question then becomes hp/magicka allotment and starting race. Maybe 2/1/0 magicka/hit points/stamina? Or 3/1/0? Then either Altmer for bonus magicka or Dunmer for fire resist 50% against fire-wielding enemies.

Hmm. ;)

Ah that svcks if there are no bound daggers. But a bound sword with x6 and the bound weapon bonus, and 100% damage from 1handed perks could still be disgustimgly good, since the daederic sword damage is higher than the daagger (and bound damage is similar to daederic).
