How to increase my characters strenght?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 8:46 am

So im lvl 6 and im trying to kill the witch for the companions quest but i just cant. im a "Sword/Mage" because i cant decide which one to be. ill probably go full 2h sword from now on but anyways , i try to use 2 one handed weapons, could get her to half hp. Tried beast mode , could get her to 20-30% hp.

i see people killing her in 2 blows.... is there anyways i can increase my beast mode strenght and my characters strenght?

u only get stronger by increasing the damage done by the weapons u choose in the corresponding perk trees. they prob alot higher level then you or they dropped the difficulty down to easy.

2 handed does not mean 2 weapons in each hand
it means weapons you have to use with 2 hands (big axes and stuff)

what you're doing is dual wielding and would fall under the single hand skill (since you're using 2 single handed weapons)
it levels up your one handed skill and that's probably where you want to spend your perks

not clear from your post if you were doing this
it could explain the lack of strength if you're spending your perks in the 2 handed skill tree while using 1 handed weapons

if you are playing on the hard modes trying to be a mage and warrior at the same time at low levels is why you are too weak.
this under the assumption that I am correct in thinking the faction specific quest lines are character level defined rather than fixed.

simply put dividing your skill per level and perks between 2 or more offencive skills makes them both weak as oposed to if you invested all in one you would have 1 strong.

if you are playing on the lower difficulties tho you shouldnt have a problem, use bashes/staggers, if you are meleeing casters down as they are vulnerable to that and fast swings, if you are caster, use lighting spells to keep enemy magicka down, their melee is a non threat if you have light armor heavy armor or alteration invested in minimally.
alternative, fall back to consumables... scrolls, poisons, magic resitance pots etc.

i've spent the perks in 1 handed since i used to be a sword/mage but i will be using a 2h sword (the big swords) . anyways will the beast form stay this weak forever or will it get stronger as i lvl?
