Okay i was minding my own business while assaulting a Stormcloak fort when some 3 goons showed up and started to attack me! After killing them I looted something from there body and found a note saying who hired them..."Cough" Someone i ummmm "Borrowed" from...And some person contacted the Db To kill me....Jeesh Bethesda You really outdid yourself

I keep hearing about these guys! hopefully I come across them sometime in the game.

I got attacked by a weak DB assassin on the road once. Had a note but it didn't really go into more details besides "kill him because somone wants him dead"

A thief ran up to me and asked me for all my money one time. He was a pretty tough khajit too. I don't think those are the dark brotherhood who tried to kill you because when I encountered them they were just thugs.. not assassins.

Same here. I did have Belthor or whatever his name is that runs the general shop in Whiterun hire thugs to beat me up because he thinks I stole from him. I looted a note and it was signed by the dude, funny as heck but I can't bring it up in conversation

I had a battle born send some thugs too, I stole something from the old lady. So I went back to the house and tried to talk to her... but there was no dialogue for it. I'm dissapointed in that. I wish you could follow up after you escape or kill the thugs...

DB Assasin came after me too... But a dragon saw him first and roasted him for me. I guess he was stealthing, dragon spotted him first and fried him. Then came after me, ha! I killed the dragon with Lydia, and found the Assasin and read his contract. Turns out he was after me, Awesome.
